Duetrost is a trio consisting of Håkon Aase on violin, Fredrik Karwowski on acoustic guitar and Knærten Simonsen on drums. They studied jazz & improvisation together at the Norwegian Academy of Music, where they created a trio straight away, and have been playing together ever since.

 

The musicians are well established within the Norwegian Jazzscene and plays with several renowned artists.

 

Duetrost is playing music that portrays different animals. Their music draws inspiration from Norwegian and African folk music, western classical music and Scandinavian jazz music. The combination of violin, acoustic guitar and a minimalist drumset contributes to their unique sound.
